Flax- is a natural and environment friendly fiber, unique material, which was presented to the humankind by the Nature.

Even from Latin “Linum Usitatissimum” means “more useful”. Flax is used by people from the ancient times and in many spheres of life.
Characteristics of  flax makes unsurpassed not only apparel fabrics and fabrics for clothes, but items for technical purpose also.
The outer protective garments and mittens for miners, welders, firemen, builders, working under different climatic conditions are made of flax tarpaulin in Russia. It combines good mechanical protection and good hygienic properties.
One of the most important characteristics of flax is its great swelling and strength improvement, when it’s get wet, which is very important for tents, shelters, covers. Flax tarpaulin, being waterproof, remains air- and steam- penetrating, that’s why covered by it technique or other goods do not get wet and do not corrode  from rain. Also flax unlike cotton and especially synthetic fibers have low extension, do not stretch out and do not deform under tension.
Unlike synthetic materials, flax tarpaulin with water resistant characteristics can provide necessary level of vapor permeability, do not electrify and do not have toxic substances, which make it suitable for the items,  supposed for the accommodation and vital activity.
